Objectives of this Travel Safely by Boat and Survival at sea Training
The goal of this Traveling by Boat and Survival at Sea training is to provide delegates with a thorough understanding of the risk involve while travelling by boat and increase the skills of offshore personnel in emergency response, personal and collective survival at sea. At the end of this training, each participant should be able to:
- Use life-saving equipment offshore.
- Practice the seven steps to survival.
- Make and interprets distress alert.
- Use emergency signals offshore
- Efficiently fight against Hypothermia.
- Fully implement evacuation procedures.
- Extend his/her lifetime in deep sea.
- Fight efficiently against fire outbreaks.
- Perform first aid where possible.
Training Duration:
This Traveling by Boat and Survival at Sea training has a duration of two days with a ratio of 50% theory to 50% Practicals. This includes classroom presentations, discussion, exercises and practical sessions. Participants make use of life saving equipment as use offshore, practice heat conservation techniques and emergency evacuation and abandonment. This training is organised in our premises in Cameroon, however, we can organise the training onsite in Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Central African Republic, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea
Training Prerequisite:
There are no pre-requisite for this Traveling by Boat and Survival at Sea training, however it is recommended that delegates be able to read and write basic English or French

Training Course Outline
BASIC SAFETY KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE
Probability of accidents, preparation for boarding, dressing, medication, PPE, Risk at sea
BASIC FIRE FIGHTING KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE
Introduction, combustion, fire and fire outbreak, the fire triangle, classes of fire, extinguishing agents, first intervention evacuation procedures
EVACUATION TECHNIQUES PROCEDURES
Alert organization, evacuation organization, evacuation procedures, Jumping in the water procedures, using the ladder/net, boarding the life raft, surviving in water.
LIFE SAVING EQUIPMENTS
The EPIRB, SART, and RADIO, lifesaving crafts and their contents
Embarkation procedures and safety devices.
SURVIVING AT SEA
The Seven Steps to survival, fighting against Hypothermia, emergency Signals and pyrotechnics, man overboard, alert and rescue.
BASIC FIRST AID KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE
Respiratory system, rescue breathing procedures, circulatory system, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation procedures
