The intensive two months training which took place from February to March 2019 covered sessions of demonstrations, video projections and presentations. Hy-Classe Training, an Enterprise of the Hy-Classe Group of companies has completed training on Emergency Response and Technical rescue in confined Spaces for Managers, Field Superintendent, and over 45 employees of Petrochad Mangara Ltd.
The training sessions were held in the Mangara and Badila development area 85% operated by Glencore and 15% by the Chadian Government through the national oil.
Myron Rak, Field Superintendent for the Mangara field thanked Hy-Classe Group via its trainer Damian Kedzeh for putting together the training on Confined Entry and Rescue. He lauded the training content, delivery method and concluded that it will help them comply with relevant legislation.
Claude Lachance, HSE Advisor for the Mangara field said the training is in line with Glencore’s Safe Oil Programme rolled out in 2016. He stated that the training delivered by Hy-Classe Training will greatly strengthen the company’s ability in promoting a safe work culture for the employees.
Training Manager Glencore Dimta Domitren, acclaimed the emergency response skilled acquired by local workers and encouraged them to use skills for the advancement of Glencore’s activities in Chad. While praising them for leading safe work practices since Glencore acquired 85% of Petrochad, He remined them that they make up 70% of Glencore’s man power for assets in chad. He enjoined them to continue with team work and professionalism as they have portrayed in the past years.
