ESSO Exploration and Production Inc, an oil field company 40% owned by ExxonMobil with Petronas and Chevron owning 35% and 25% respectively has chosen Hy-Classe Training to train all their telecom technicians and engineers on working safely at height on telecom Towers.
The company which operates the largest oil field in the Logone Oriental region in Chad selected Hy-Classe Training after a serious scrutiny of training providers in the Central and West African regions. According to officials, the choice of Hy-Classe Training stems from the fact that Hy-Classe Group’s Safety management system, policies, training content, didactique materials; certification of training staff met Exxon Mobil’s standards and other international requirements.
This work at height training was in accordance with Exxon’s health and safety Program on work at height hazards prevalent in the locations where they operate. The aim was to protect health, safety and productivity of their workers and boost the skills of their telecom technicians on Towers.
Participants during the training gained skills on the use of personal and collective fall protection systems, fall Arresting equipment, personal ascend and descend devices, tower ascension and descend techniques, Rescue at height on towers, the use of work platforms on towers, guard rails, toe-boards, ladders and Similar Collective Means of Protection while working at height on towers.
Personnel who attended the training extremely Happy with training received and recommended that Hy-Classe Group help them in the audit and inspection of their telecom sites. Base on participants recommendations, ESSO chad awarded another contract to Hy-Class to inspect audits, map, carryout structural analysis and maintenance of telecom sites operated by ESSO with the support of ExxonMobil.
