Fall Prevention and Fall Arrest Training

The main purpose of this fall protection and fall arrest training is to empower delegates with knowledge that will permit them achieve 100% fall protection while working at height. Participants will be drilled on the use of different fall arrest and fall prevention equipment including safety harness, life line, retractable landyard and lifeline etc. Upon completion of this training on fall protection and fall arrest, participants will understand:

  • How to evaluate consequences of falling from height; 
  • What precautions are taken to prevent falls and falling materials;
  • How to select the appropriate fall arrest equipment;
  • How to fit and wear fall arrest equipment
  • How to inspect fall arrest equipment;
  • How to maintain fall arrest equipment;

Training Duration:

This fall protection and fall arrest training course has a duration of two (2) days with a ratio of 50% theory and 50% practice. This includes classroom presentations, discussion, exercises and practical sessions with the use of fall protection and fall arrest equipment. We can organise the training onsite in Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Central African Republic, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea

Pre-requisite :  

There are no prerequisite for this fall protection and fall arrest training course, however, participants should be able to speak either english or french

Module 5: Primary Fall Protection System

  •     Scaffolding / Temporary Work Platforms
  •     Guardrail systems
  •     Ladders
  •     Covers
  •     Warning Lines
  •     Personnel restraint systems

Module 6 : Fall Protection and fall arrest Systems

  •     Full Body Harness / Shock Absorbing Lanyards
  •     Anchorage Points
  •     Lifeline systems, Placement and Installation
  •     Horizontal Lifelines, Vertical Lifelines, Retractable Lifeline System, life lines or static lines;
  •     Safety Net System
