The job entailed training all Banksmen and Slingers working for the company in Cameroon on the techniques of slinging loads and flagging the mobile crane operator
During the training, participants received in-depth schooling on sling types and capacities including chains, webbings, cables, codes, shackles etc. The use of the tagline, rigging accessories inspection, the colour codes currently being practiced in Cameroon, determination of Sling capacity, the SWL and the WLL, the different slinging angles and how angles affects sling capacity during slinging operations.
Joél Gouada, participant at the training said the training has left a lasting impact in his life. “This training is far beyond what I expected. Most importantly, the trainer from Hy-classe Training is a crane operator himself.
He made the practical session on this Banksman and Slinger training challenging. The practical exercises especially during the blind lift was very exciting. Coming out of this training, I am confident I am well apt for the challenges of the job.
